Hard disk - The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable

Hello,
I've been using Samsung 1 terabyte hard disk for a while but recently I've come across this problem. I can not open it anymore, it always says "The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable." I'd really like to recover my movies and photos... What can be done about it? Thank you in advance.

It is most likely a failed read / write head. If you value your data, seek a professional data recovery lab.

If you insist on DIY, first try to get a full sector-by-sector clone with the free open source program ddrescue in Linux.
