I plan on upgrading my pc and I was just wondering if my current CPU will bottleneck the GTX 1060. On another note is the GTX 1060 compatible with my current mobo which is GIGABYTE F2A85XM-HD3.

I don't enjoy the term "bottleneck" (ref. my 8350 and 1070). It depends on the games you're playing and at what resolution/settings. Running arma at 4k on your system will yield the same fps if you had an i7, but GTA V at 1080p on high settings will run slower on your system than an i7. If you're playing 1080p, you may need to lower settings on some games to get above 60fps all the time, but the i5 will be sufficient in most cases for 1080p 60fps.

The term bottleneck is way over used and it would be better to say these are my specs (memory/cpu/gpu/psu) and I would like to upgrade to GTX 1060 to run games at "X" resolution and Y" quality setting for "Z" games I like to play, does any one see an issues.
