I have an old system I have not used in a while with a corsair SP120 as the exhaust fan, however it is running at a constant 2100-2300 RPMs. Fan controllers do not change a thing, Is the motor controller broken?

I'm pretty sure the Corsair SP120 is a 3-pin fan. The speed of such fans can be controlled only by a mobo header that uses Voltage Control Mode. IF it is plugged into a 4-pin fan header that uses PWM Mode for control, it will run at full speed all the time.

I think the motor is broken, I tried all fan ports and in a different computer and 2300rpm constantly. I swapped the fans out for a couple of others I had and I am having no problem with them.

It is a modified CPU so I am not sure it is 100% correct however it says around 55-65c while idle and 70C under load, It has a big cooler on though,I think the temps are wrong.
