so my computer originally came a year and a half ago with a 750ti and an AMD 8320 8 core processor. my parts need upgrading so i got the 1060 3gb and a 500w power supply, and nothings changed fps wise. i was told it was because my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU and i should get another and now im looking at AMD processors because im not getting a new motherboard or anything. and i wanna know which processor should I get. my motherboard is a asus m5a78l-M with a 780g chipset

Well pubg is a poorly optimised mess, it somehow manages to look 10 years behind graphically while simultaneously taxing the latest hardware, quite a feat...

There is no real worthwhile upgrade on the platform you're using. So if you want to upgrade you'll need to change mobo as well. Before you upgrade you might be able to find settings that lower the entity count on screen whilst gaming, for example view distance and fov, and decrease them. That should heighten the CPU boundary a little.

What is your performance goal (desired frame rate)?

well right now its really bad.. like im getting 50 fps dead max on playerunknown's battlegrounds and i average 30 ish. dayz is laggy too, i have problems with csgo fps wise it'll drop to as low as 90 sometimes, and then sometimes it'll be 170 so idk. i wanna run these games no problem, so i guess i do have to upgrade everything
