Hi,

I just finished assembling my first PC.

CPU:Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz

Mobo:MSI Z170A M5

Ram: Crucial 8 GB (2x4) DDR-2133

PSU: EVGA 430W

GPU: MSI GTX 1050 2 GB Gaming

Now I've assembled another one before this with a different mobo, MSI Z170M Mortar, but it wouldn't post. And then I took it to the shop, and they said it the motherboard was dead. So what I did was I went to go buy another mobo, and tried it with a new mobo (listed above) but still having the same problem. I tried the 31 tom's hardware diagnosis, I've tried taking out the power cord and holding the power button for 5 seconds. I also tried to connect through both the mobo and the gpu. I feel like I tried almost everything out there listed on google and youtube.

Can someone help me?

I have looked around and everyone with the same problem on the same motherboard it is because they are using a kaby lake cpu without updating the BIOS, but you say you are using skylake. I have no clue, sorry.

LOL...
this is really really sad.. but I put in a wrong CPU.
I thought I put 6100, it was actually 7100. So it was the bios problem. I tried with a different CPU, it posted!
