I7-2700k vs xeon e3-1245 v2 build? ws vs non ws mobo? Ecc vs non ecc ram?

Hi, im thinking about old build, and a bit confused. Thinking about 2nd/3rd gen i7/xeon cpu, workstation and z77 board, ecc vs non memory. So I wanna ask what difference in performance, gaming and cad design? It's good move to workstation parts, or avoid it? Also I wanna ask what is recommended xeon base frequency, I know higher = better, but there is problem to find high end xeon cpu...
Will xeon get maximum performance with workstation mobo? Asus p8b ws or p8c ws. Which is better? There is any better boards?
One more question, there is big difference between e3-1245 v2 and e3-1275 v2 in performance? What gpu is best choice for that cpu that don't botleneck it??? It is good choice in 2017 or not much if I get it even cheap? Cpu better with or without igup? I somewhere heard that cpu with igpu run hoter? how much?

the problem is that Xeons and ECC ram is made for servers, not the average consumer. ECC ram is significantly slower because it looks through all the data before using it, and Xeons are made/optimized for servers and for working together with other CPUs.

But I see nice rewiews. Xeon is similar to i7, but without k. Asus ws(workstation board) optimized for cad and other softwares, also it's possibility to use simply rams. Saw few videos with decent fps count in gaming. So thinking, that will be good workstation/gaming build...

you can use it in gaming-its physically like an i7, but it will have a different feature set than an i7

iv been running 2nd gen i3's and i5's sandy's at the moment for the past year and they can keep hold up for gaming they should for CAD i use them at work but its paired with an GT 730 but ill rather have an xeon about to do a xeon build and will be doing some benchmarks when it gets here.

im using a P5Q Pro and will be OC it to hell and back for fun only gona cost me 16 buck USD

not sure if you had a look on ali express for xeons they are cheap as on there
