Hi. did not get answer from asus support so im here.

Proplem whit updating Firmware to new one 3.0.0.4.380.7378 gives me error "Firmware upgrade unsuccessful. This may result from incorrect imagee or error transmission. Please check the version of firmware and try again".
And my current FW is 3.0.0.4.378_5291.
And i use the TRX file and not the zip :). hope some one can help me, i get wired speed test whit router only DL 6.80Mbps / UP 58.16Mbps and normaly whitout router DL 99.43Mbps/98.28Mbps. I use wireles only for my TV and home theater and low speed makes everyting bad and movies shutter.

Solution
Oks so i change on router settings Hardware Offload NAT/Routing IPv4: to Disable (slow) and now i get speed that i should get DL:98/UP:78.

Have to test it couple of days and look whats happening

I have several of these, used as WIFI access points. Are you attempting to do the firmware upgrade via wired or wireless? Did you check the MD5 like the webpage recommends ? -- https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/RTN56U/HelpDesk_Download/

I have used 2nd source firmware on my N56Us for quite a while. The PADAVAN firmware -- https://bitbucket.org/padavan/rt-n56u/overview is what I have been using. It hasn't been officially released in a while.

If your wired speedtest is 6Mbit, then you have something very wrong. I would start with a factory reset. See what speeds you get then. Slowly add your configuration back, testing between steps.
