SSD shows up sata instead of pcie

My M2 SSD shows up as sata in bios instead of pcie. I'm using 960 evo 500gb M2 ssd and an asrock killer z270 sli/ac mobo. I'm no sure if this is the way it should show up or not. Do I need to change a setting?
