Multiple problems with my new ryzen build.

UPDATE: This is a RAM issue. I replaced the RAM again and it is working now at 3200mhz.

First of all my first set of RAM was not working. So I got a new one after RMA. This new memory was working fine and all 16gb was detected in BIOS and CPUZ. But windows shown 8GB of the 16GB was hardware reserved. I tried most of the ways mentioned in forums to remove that hardware reservation, but none worked.

Tested few solutions, got new problems.

Tried inserting only one RAM. It worked fine. All 8gb was usable. But not the same with 16gb.

Tried re seating the processor. When removing the cpu fan it was held on with the processor tightly. I left it alone for few mins and tried to remove with small rotations. But it didn't work and the processor came out with the fan all of a sudden without even removing the lock. I released the processor from the fan and checked for bent pins. Nothing is bent or dislocated. In a fear I re seated the processor, the computer booted and worked fine. But still only 8gb was usable.

Reflashed bios with an older F5 version (through BIOS, not through Windows). The latest version is F6. After the reflash my computer did not boot. Everything turns on and all fans are working fine. But it doesn't boot. I tried removing the CMOS battery and leaving the computer without it overnight. It still didn't boot. Tried resetting through jumper too.

My motherboard has LED indicators to show the boot problems. The CPU LED error indicator is on after the bios reflash. Did I destroy my processor by removing it by force? Or motherboard is bricked with corrupt bios? Even if the bios is corrupted shouldn't the dual bios kick in and work? I am using a very old 9600GT gpu. Will that be any problem? I am in a dead end to make any decision. Any suggestion will be helpful.

PS - My ram is in the QVL list and tested to work in 3200mhz. But it was working only at 2400mhz.

I was going to say you should just try the memory in other slots, if you haven't already. I'm not sure what to say about the BIOS reflash though. Maybe contact Gigabyte's support about it. When you took out the CMOS battery, was the computer also unplugged from the wall?

I would think that if the computer was working fine after reinstalling the CPU, but before the reflash, then the forceful removal probably isn't the cause of the problem.

I think it was unplugged. Not sure though. Trying again with the computer unplugged.

Yeah contacting the gigabyte support too. Hope I can RMA my motherboard at least.

I have found it to be the case that memory timings are too tight if Windows can't find both sticks OR too low voltage for DDR. Try 1.35-1.37 volts. Loosen the timings manually (higher numbers). Add 1 to every number.
Til it works.

Disconnect everything except 1 stick of RAM, CPU and GPU. Test if you get a signal. Boot twice. Some have found the 2nd time the PC boots, it works. No LEDs shining.

On Gigabyte you might have to unplug power completely to reset BIOS. I know on MSI I have to leave power on on PSU. Check your motherboard manual and check online. http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/GA-AB350-Gaming-3-rev-10#support-manual

For some, Ryzen doesn't boot with 2 GPUs connected, for me and others having a Creative X-fi card installed also prevents boot on a certain BIOS version (MSI Tomahawk 1.3 Official)

I think you actually need to hold down the power button for around 10 seconds or so when starting the computer to activate that, then the computer should reboot and begin overwriting your BIOS with the backup BIOS. If that doesn't seem to do anything, you might try holding both the power and reset buttons together at startup, and see if the overwrite process starts then.

If nothing else works I am going to try this option. But, can the QVL list be false? Mine as actually listed in the QVL.

No luck with any of these. The service center said the bios was corrupted. Its now booting fine. But still the RAM problem remains.

Nope. As of now I think its a RAM problem. Gigabyte service center tested my motherboard with different RAM and they said all are working fine even with 4 sticks. I have contacted Kingston Support. Waiting for their solution.

Processor might not be a problem as the same problem was found in a different processor too.
Windows is not to blame too. I could replicate this problem in different 64bit versions of Windows 10 and Windows 7.

I have requested for a new motherboard from Gigabyte. They asked me to wait for 2 weeks.

As of now this question doesn't have any solution. Will update the status in few days.

How did that work out? I'm having the same problem with this motherboard, and Gigabyte told me it couldn't be a motherboard issue.

Gigabyte replaced my motherboard. But it was obviously a RAM issue. I think RAM made during a certain duration has this issue. I bought a replacement RAM and it is working at 3200mhz. One other person bought from the same shop had this same issue. He had it working with the replacement RAM too but he could get only 2999mhz. No idea how this works. But its definitely not a motherboard issue.
