Some of the old Pentium4 machines (like the one in my sig.)can get up and go with older Core2Extremes, but this isn't one of them.

See the ones listed at the link I provided. Be aware that the fastest PentiumD uses about 130W of power and performs about equal to the slowest Core2Duo. Ytou will need the latest BIOS available (even if it's 10 years old). Pay attention to the part # they provide for the heatpipe cooler and correct fan to use. None of this will cost very much so there's no reason not to do it. I have no first hand experience with the old Netburst CPUs so that's why I'm refering you to other sources.
