I just got a new pc. I set mine to 1.29 volts @ 4.8 ghz and when I run AIDA64 system test it goes that high. Is this an ok temp during test or not? What are my alternatives then? I'm really sad my CPU temp is so high. It idles around 46 degrees.

Solution
44c in normal use isnt high for a 7700k

they do run a bit warm certainly hotter than my previous 6600k was at same voltage and speed

if you turn off hyperthreading it will go down more

though depends what you use the pc for whether you need the hyperthreading on or not

noctua nh-d15. my parts https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2XKppb . I droped it down to 4.7 ghz and 1.29 volts and it's maxes around 80 degrees, so much better. But I'm a bit disappointed. Normally around 44 degrees which is kind of high.
