I have a old CPU way back from 2010 too, it's AMD Athlon II X4 640 but still is similiar to yours, even less powerful. I recently bought this GTX 1050 Ti card and for its money it's just a beast GPU, a very great upgrade from the Radeon HD 5670. A lot of games I couldn't play well now run at 40-60 fps or even more on high settings. I also have 8GB of DDR3 RAM which is just enough for today games, altho in a few years 16GB will take over the desired average RAM. So should you buy the GTX 1050 Ti? Of course, just go for it! You will see the bottleneck, but it is still a great step up from what you currently have.
