My PC keeps getting hot and then turns off or makes this cutting out noise and shuts off. Sometimes I get a blue screen but not always. Then it will continuously try to turn on and off. I also recently replaced the power supply because I thought this problem could be caused by a bad PSU.

If you need my PC specs I can list them. Thank you

I noticed only the PSU will get pretty hot. So what did you say about unplug something and try integrated graphics?

Have you tried additional airflow in to the side of the case? I don't think your PSU should be getting hot enough to exclaim that it is hot.

As of right now it hasnt done the shut on and of thing so should I still run the fan on it? Also here lately it tends to do it the most when I run a game called world of tanks.

Is the fan spinning on the PSU? It might be a lack of air flow in the case, otherwise I would return the PSU and maybe bump up to 350-450, as 300w is minimum for the video card. For some reason the heat is not being dispersed properly. The PSU might just be bad.

You can keep the fan there for now, but it shouldn't be a permanent fix.

The graphics card in there is very old 300w should be fine for it. The PSU I just purchased in January of this year. Let me turn it off and open the case up then power it on and look at all fans inside the PC

Ah, I thought you had put another fan blowing on the case. The PSU will get warm, but it shouldn't be hot by any means. When playing a game the PSU will draw more power, so it is likely that it is overheating. If that is what you are noticing, then replace the PSU or make sure there is sufficient airflow in the case to keep everything cool. Watch you temps with CPUID HWMonitor just to make sure nothing else is getting too hot while using your computer.

If you determine that the PSU is not really hot enough to cause worry, then I would definitely look at the GPU. I have had a failing GPU cause similar issues in the past.
