Hi Tech Geeks.....Thank for looking into this..

I am an average gamer and love to do photo editing, and video mixing at home... I wanted to buy a good cpu for that however I already have a intel dual core laptop.
I went on to do some research and found AMD FX 8350 is a good option and a cheaper alternative for intel i5 or i7.
So I bought it and my system is as follows.
1.CPU: AMD FX 8350
2.ASUS M970 rev .2.0 mo bo
3.Corsire RAM 4gb 1600mhz
4.Segate HArd drive 1 tb
5.Powercolor graphics card 1 GB 6670
6.Corsire Power supply 650 VS series.

I used this system for 2 years and never had any issue however rendering was not as good as i expected. slower than my dual core laptop which has gt520m graphics.

For few month i kept the system idle and never used it... and when i tried to start the system. I showed no display even if it starts and everything runs when u switched it on.
I wondered:
may be my graphics card is not well..
may be RAM should be re- inserted.
I tried everything for two days and damn it... it never woke up as if gone in eternal sleep mode.
Finally i took it at nearby store and he said, "your mo bo is damp because it not used.. that is why your cpu is not getting heated... I need to heat the mo bo to check if this works... and also the same case with your graphics card as well."

He kept the mo bo for 1 weeks and than returned it saying this can not be rectified I have to buy a new one. However my processor is okay, which is the costlier one, so i was relived.
Since the processor is 125w i had to spend money in buying a new 970 mo bo which costly. But I saved money and bought a new one which is MSI 970 G43 and also a new graphics card Nvidia GT 720 and started the PC.

I worked finally and I am quite relived that my system is working and now I can resume working.
Thanks for the engineer's buy a new board suggestion to me :}

After 15 days of using the system, one day again it started and I can see all fan running and did not show any display, I tried few time and show that the processor was heating this time but after changing RAM from one slot to another and adding one more ram 1600 I thought it will make my system snappy. But now my this AMD system is the boss and I am a slave.

Today's Condition is...
You have to keep the fan running for around 1 or 2 hrs or may be more and keep restarting the system to check if it shows display by any chance.
Sometime you will see the display after restarting 5 time or may be it can take more than 50 restart. just keep on clicking on and off....... now my system decides when I should work or not... LOLz...

Yeah....it not totally bad and totally good somewhere in between. Thanks for the engineer for his check on my system and his valuable suggestion and I don't want to go there to know that my cpu is bad this time need replacement.... Holy Grail. this way might end up changing everything in my system....
saving money for my mo bo was very hard.....as i do not have any source of income.

Now I end up cursing the day when I decided to buy AMD CPU for my build instead of intel, and my laptop is still running fine. I know my power supply is all okay because i used it with other system meanwhile and it worked fine...

Do u guys have any idea what to do with this system.... should I break this into parts and sell it like a piece of junk.
Or should I take it to the engineer who I later came to know, " that he set few of my transistor on fire and spoiled the mo bo" -ASUS service center said.

We do not have AMD service center anywhere near our locality. So what should I do....
I have already spent money in AMD mother board and now I am pissed off with this brand and should have gone to build an intel system.....

ANY SUGGESTION WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.... and thanks for reading this long story and may be you must have known what a mess i have gone thought all these time...

Solution
so your saying, you unplug the cpu heatsink fan from the motherboard header (4 pin plug from motherboard) and your system will eventually start ?
either your motherboard is bad or your power supply, and since you have VS 650 I would point at testing with another power supply before blaming motherboard.

Unless your PC is in ambient temperature with 90% humidity in -20c your pc will boot normally. I have a computer in a shed, and at 30c/32F with 70% humidex and it boots first thing... and in middle of summer when it is 40c/110F with 85% humidity it starts just fine.

its not humidity , unless your pc is outside in freezing temperature, I cannot see it not working properly.
well as touching as the story is. I have a few questions.

1. can you list the current system cpu, motherboard, video card, and power supply make and models please.

2. when you say "Finally i took it at nearby store and he said, "your mo bo is damp because it not used.. that is why your cpu is not getting heated... I need to heat the mo bo to check if this works... and also the same case with your graphics card as well." do you have this under a water pipe? in a basement? because if not, then I suggest you never visit that computer store again he's a liar or incompetent.

once you have answered #1 I can maybe suggest a few things.

Very dubious about this 'engineer' in all honesty.
I'm not an 'engineer' & would be fairly certain I could pinpoint the issue if I had that PC physically in my hands within 24 hours absolute max

On who's recommendation did you buy that g43 motherboard ?? Its an awful awful board to pair anything more than a 4core fx chip on.

CPU: AMD FX 8350
MOBO: NEW MSI 970 G43
RAM: Corsaire 1600 Mgz 8 GB ( 4 x 2) DDR 3
GRAPHICS CARD: Nvedia GT 710 1 GB DDR3
Hard drive: 1 TB
PSU: Corsire VS 650

Current situation is:
System does not show boot screen and you have to keep restarting it on or off for more than 30 minutes or so...
However if you remove the CPU fan and.... switch on the system and it makes the cpu get heated quicker and then it starts more quicker... this is the only way I can start the system in 10 minute.
But worried as this may spoil the cpu fan cable or pin if we keep removing it on daily basis.

Please suggest ... what could be done..
