I have an i7 3930k @4Ghz (Recently upgraded from i7 3820) and I am going to upgrade from a GTX 970. I wonder if a GTX 1080 would be bottlenecked at 1440p.
I will be using my system mainly for gaming.
And please, understand that I rather go for 4960x and 1080 than going for 1070 as money for that is not an issue.
Reason I bought 3930k was to buy the cheapest 6core i7 for x79.
