Hey, I really am stuck, so I've just finished building my PC, evrything is on, all fans on all lights on (Including Graphics card) but when I go into windows, and to 'Device Manager' the card says: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

I have looked online at videos and all, and have tried doing what everyone says (there seem to be many methods), but whenever I open back up its still there, the error code. I would really appreciate any help I can get to get my brand new card working, but I must say im very new to windows, and used to use mac os. Do I need to take this to a computer repair shop or something??? Or is it something I can sort myself?

OS: Windows 10

Graphics: Galax/KFA2 Geforce Gtx 1080 HOF
CPU: i7 7700k
Mobo: Asus Z270-A
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz, havent put them to it yet still on 2133
Other:
Plextor 500GB SSD
Seagate 3TB Barracuda drive
Corsair fans and H100i

Everything is brand new, and all boots, the mobo does detect the graphics card and says so in the BIOS.

I've tried:
Flushing eletrical discharge by like resetting the computer? And holding power button longer...

Re-installed Drivers from Nvidia

Following this video which was my last hope at fixing this without some advice straight for me /:

I would really, really appreciate any help because I'm so happy with my system but I cant edit or render videos or play the games I like without my card, which is ironically by far the most expensive part in the system! Thanks :fou:

Solution
this is what i would try. download the newest drivers for the card, but do not install them, and download ddu. shut down the pc completely and remove the gpu. unplug your ethernet so your pc cant go online. use the onboard cpu graphics to boot into safemode and run ddu to uninstall any nvidia drivers. then turn off the pc and install the gpu. boot into windows using the gpu, but with the ethernet still unplugged, and install the drivers for the gpu and see what happens.

if this doesnt work id recommend a fresh install of windows without the pc connected to the internet and the gpu drivers on a flash drive to install after the fresh install.
