Like the title suggests, I'm curious what would be the best investment for a GPU upgrade. I have an rx 480 and in most games it just isn't pulling the frames I would like (90-100 FPS, yes a little over kill but that's my preference) I have a 1080p 144hz monitor and a 4K tv that I could hook up to. So my questions is this, Should I get a 1080 Ti to get ready for 4k, or buy a 1080 and use the extra money to get a nice monitor? Thanks!

I'm not saying right now it is the CPU. I was just pointing out that once you have the GTX 1080 Ti. Your CPU can limit the FPS you can achieve in some games at 1920x1080.

Since you have an i5-6600K @4.4Ghz. There will be very few games limited. Ashes of Singularity is one example. Where even the i7-7700K won't achieve those FPS in heavy scenes. For the most part games will get high FPS.

I have a i5 6600k overclocked to 4.4 Ghz, so I feel like it's not my CPU
