Can't tell if I can use a PCIe card?

I have an Acer Aspire TC-120 computer that is about 2 years old. My husband bought an AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB graphics card and a new 400w PSU for it. When putting everything in it isn't working. The power supply works but upon start up my screen (which connects through HDMI) says "no signal" and only works when I remove the graphics card. Looking at my mother board I can't tell if I have a PCI or PCIe slot because there is no label and it is a black slot not white. I've been researching forever but cannot find a solution or explination as to whether or not my computer is compatible with this graphics card...

I enabled "boot through PCIe" and tried plugging my hdmi screen into the deticated graphics card but it still says no signal. Looking in BIOS I can't find any integrated graphics, i checked under the chipeset tab as well.
