Hey, I got a new computer and I'm having problems with it and I've narrowed it down to the possibility of it being the power supply being inadequate .. So i don't really know much about computer but I've looked up my parts and I think i need, at least 500-600 w power supply.. I m just not sure which one i would need to purchase and I was wondering if anyone could give some good suggestions... I just want to play my games in peace and i don't wanna mess it up by getting the wrong one or have the hassle of A bad brand, this is my current power supply

Hi - Please list your system specs, that way we can be sure how much power you need.
It is almost certain your problems are arising from your current PSU, it has very little amperage on
the +12v rails where it's needed most.
Provide your location and budget as well, so I can recommend some units for you.

Okay thanks for the reply, I live in Toronto, Canada and I have a budget of 200$ for this but here are my specs

mob: Intel H110 (I think)

gpu: Radeon r9 360 2gb

processor: intel i7 6700

ram : 16gb ddr3 8gbx2 hynix)

hd: 3tb 5200 sata

disc : super dvd multi

Im pretty sure that's it I cant turn on the cp so I cant get all the exact names sorry
Hopefully this is enough information though, thanks again.

Hi again - Your sys will run fine on a good quality 450w unit, although the pricing for a
good quality 550w unit is usually very close & sometimes less because the 550's & 650's
get promoted more often. so I'd say your current PSU is the problem due to it's low wattage and
particularly it's weak +12v output (you GPU, CPU, hdd all draw from the +12v rail(s).

I will update in a few min as I check Canadian sellers (good news is you will be able to get a
solid unit for far less than $200)

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/mr/ncix/DPCwrH (best valu I found in Canada), a gold efficiency
good quality semi modular PSU.

There are some less expensive, but not as good a price/performance/quality unit as this.
