Pc shuts down while playing mass effect andromeda

Hey guys my pc shuts down and starts by itself as mentioned above i have a crosair vs650
I7-6700k
16 gb vengeance crosair
Evga gtx980ti sc + acx2.0 cooler
Hi100 v2 crosair cooler
Asus maximus herovIII
I think its undervoltage but it has been working ever since i got this build , besides i already checked the temperature its pretty normal !!

And if it is undervoltage what psu should i get ?

It may not be an issue of voltage, but just your PSU dying. Although I've recently upgraded I used to have a very similar build to yours, and 650w is more than enough for your hardware.

My brother had a similar issue where his PC shut down and restarted automatically, but only when the hardware was under high load, like playing games. We resolved the issue by replacing the 700W PSU with a 500W PSU and again he has similar specs to yours.

I would suggest seeing if you can test another PSU in your rig and seeing if your PC reboots while playing games then.

@boopig the problem is that only happens with andromeda i could play jc3 3 allday maxed settings without any lags or errors when i try to run andromeda my pc literally turns off 5-10 seconds after i double click it

Maybe try running prime95 in smallFFTs, for a few hours, to test the stability of the under-volted cpu. If your cpu is not getting enough voltage, prime95 will report errors and stop workers. Or your system might BSOD on its own.

Undervolting is not much different from overclocking; you have to test your system stability.

Because they're affordable. Problem is, people seem to be forgetting that you get what you pay for even with big names like Corsair.

hey andromeda pulls a rediculous amount of power for some reason. underclocking the card has fixed the issue for a lot of people. i had 2 1080's on one split 6+2pcie cable and when i put each card on there own cable the problem stopped entirely. spread the word.

Actually all of corsairs current pay lineup are top notch

It's only the older ones like the Vs and the old cs/CX lineup's are are sub par they sent bad but don't have the best lifespans
