Would this laptop be able to run the latest games on ultra settings with no lag?

I've come across this laptop I'd like to buy:
HP 15-ba079dx (Touch)
AMD A10-9600P (7th Gen) / 2.40GHz Quad-Core Processor
AMD Radeon R5 Graphics - 5GB
15.6" diagonal HD SVA LED Touch Screen Display
10GB RAM (DDR4)
1TB Hard Disk

I've heard Radeon R5 series is not good for gaming. But the seller claims this laptop is perfect to run the latest games. Also he says the processor has the same performance that of intel core i7 ones. Is it true? It's tempting to buy this as it's got 5gb graphics memory and fits my budget, but I don't wanna regret later if games would not run as smoothly as I'd want. Can someone advise me on this? Thanks!

not even close.
It will barely run any modern games.
Graphics memory amount is a meaningless way to value a cards performance.

A gaming laptop that can run the latest games on ultra will cost you between $1700-2500

Sorry to tell you buddy, but he's lying. That processor can't run modern games and is nowhere near as close to running the latest games on ultra like an i7 can. If you wanna game on a laptop on the latest games, get a better laptop. If you're budget doesn't fit, build your own or you can customise your own online. PC Specialist, Cyberpower and iBuyPower are good sites you can look at. (If you're located in the UK, you could look at pre built PC's on Argos and Currys for good deals.)

The seller was confident the A10 processor was as good as i7 ones. Guess he was lying then. I'll look in to the sites you've mentioned. And no, I don't live in the UK. Thanks for the advice anyway!
