Is this worth the upgrade (GTX 680 to GTX 1070) ?

Hello,

I started to notice my GTX 680 2gb struggle with recent titles, so I think it's time for an upgrade :p
I play on 1920 x 1080 and I've been told that a GTX 1070 is more than enough for that resolution, not sure if true, two questions:

1. Performance gain noticeable to justify the upgrade or should I aim for a more powerful card ?
2. Will I have compatibility/bottleneck issues with my current setup ?

Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V
CPU: i5 3570k
RAM: 8Gb (4Gb x 2) Corsair vengeance
PSU: XFX pro 850W

Cheers.

1. Yes, this card outperforms even a GTX 980 by a decent margin, you should get an excellent performance boost moving to a GTX 1070.
2. Your setup should be fine with it, your CPU is a little older but it's still a good CPU for Gaming.

A GTX 1070 is indeed a very powerful card for 1080p, most people stick with a GTX 1060 6GB or RX 480 unless you want absolute maximum settings at 1080p or running a high refresh rate. Hope this helps :)
