Hi there! Today I opened my computer (like every day) but today my Lacie external hard disk started to make very weird noise and is not recognized by the computer.

Here is link to the sound: https://instaud.io/SWX

Is it completely dead? Is there way to fix it? Couple of files i need to save from there... of course

UPDATE: I did disassemble the external HDD and used dock to "mount" it. However, the result is still the same... same clicking and beeping :(

Not dead per se but does not sound good at all.

Be very aware that anything you do may cause further damage or data loss.

Check Lacie's website to see if they offer any diagnostic tools. Check the forums and FAQ's for anyone else with similar problems especially with the same model drive. Perhaps "chat" with any technical support that may be available.

Any warranty left?

Overall, try to learn more about what has happened and what options may be available.
