This question is more for the users that have the new nVidia GTX 10 series
I currently have the GTX 960, it has some sentimental value being the first graphics card I ever used to build a computer. I'm trying to base this solely on specs though.
I just saw that the 1060 is going for less than I paid for the 960 when I bought it. It offers an extra 1gb of memory clocking a Ghz faster, it's base clock is also 400Mhz faster than the 960. In addition, it will give me another 125 CUDA cores on top of the 1024 I'm getting now. I have clearance for the extra 12mm of space, and my PSU is ready for it.
I figure my graphics card in it's condition could go for $100 online, plus I get the free game. So it's $210 now, but I get some of it back over time.
Everything I'm currently playing runs fine on Ultra with a bit of stress to my GPU, but games are still on their way, and Unreal Engine 4 is a thing now.
I'm not broke, but I don't make off with too much at the end of the month.
I need someone to talk me down, or tell me to jump. Lol
