So I am running a i7-2600k with a GTX 970 using 16GB of Corsair memory on a Samsung 850 EVO SSD. I am able to run all the games I want at extremely high settings, rarely do I have to lower my settings. So my question is. Should I wait for the next Intel/AMD CPU and Nvidia/AMD GPU?

That really depends on if you want to drop the cost of a completely new system all at once, or if it's more financially viable for you to upgrade pieces at a time.
If you're happy with what you have and will be able to afford a completely new system when you decide you aren't, then by all means you should wait.
