whats the difference between Realtek ALC892 and a Realtek 1220

audio chip/codecs? am thinking of getting some really nice sounding speakers also wondered if there would still be a noticable diffeence of the 1220 codec https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102048

also if i was to get a new motherboard wich motherboard would have the best onboard sound?

How will your speakers be connected? Analog, or digital like spdif, hdmi? Also, are they 2.0, 2.1, ...?

well actually i havnt thought to much into it but am thinking about getting some new speakers. but i wondered if the codecs make any difference or if a dedicated sound card would be like.

my guess is would be minimul difference without going for a soundcard.

to answer ur question not really 6months and yes i would. but honestly im just asking questions dont really have any plans to change the board. maybe tryout a sound card but idk thats a stretch just wondered the difference if any

basicly what imm saying is that i am going to buy these speakers listed below. will i need anything speacial in the way of a soundcard newer onboard audio ect for gaming? or will the difference be so minute is not worth doing

That speaker set has its own sound processing, you can connect it to your PC via USB, and thats likely the best way. You do not need a sound card for it.

Some derivative of Creative's standard chipset. All their cards use nearly the same main chips. Honestly you would never know the difference.
