is a graphics card the same as a processor?

Solution
No, not really.
The only similarity they share is they both process information.
A CPU (typically referred to as a processor) is the Central Processing Unit. The GPU (or graphics card) is the Graphics Processing Unit. Basically a specialized processor just for graphics.
"processor" usually means the CPU ; Example, my i3 7350k is a CPU

GPU (graphics processor) is usually referred to as the video card or GPU. Example, my Radeon RX 480.

I couldn't slap my old FX-6300 CPU and use it as a graphics card. They are designed differently, to put it simply.
