The APU will be a lot weaker than the brix i7 in CPU terms, GPU the APU might have a slight lead, if you want it for gaming be prepared to install a GPU else you will probably be disappointed.
Thanks, I'm not really looking for alternatives. What I'm really looking for is if the latest series apu is better or worse than the latest i7 gigabyte brix. There are reasons for those two, but I'm not going to state the reasons as this then becomes a discussion about what alternatives are available to me rather than actually about the current question asked lol.

for gaming purposes your two choices are flawed
the apu has shit cpu performance with moderate gpu
the i7 has good cpu power, but the built in is pretty much shit
the zotac option above with the 1060 is what you want for gaming at 1080p
or you can build your own mini itx setup and get max performance for your money
there are some truly sick mini itx cases

As for your down vote. Why should you get an up vote by stating an alternative so you can avoid the question completely. Many people seem to ask questions on here and a lot of people avoid answering those questions by giving alternatives which have no correlation to the original question and yet expect up votes?

Then your answer would be "the sewage water would be better for you as it will make you sick with a chance to kill you but the oil would kill you no matter what. So you would gain 56% higher chance of avoiding death whilst still quenching your thirst" and not giving the water alternative which is not the option available to the dying man of thirst.

^ exactly, both choices are poor, neither will be satisfactory, the APU will be allround weak, the CPU will be vastly overpowered from a CPU perspective, but poor from a GPU perspective.

The argument of there being only two choices is flawed, gven that you have neither and other solutions do exist for purchase then there is no good answer, especially given the information you have given us. What games, what resolution, what FPS are you expecting or would like?
You are asking for advise on how to spend your money, neither solution is perfectly valid as an answer, no one is holding a gun to your head saying that you must choose, and choose now.
