Just got a new gpu from Asus. The STRiX RX470 one. I thought my PSU would be enough for it even if its a bad brand. ( Inter Tech or something ) Its a 400W PSU with no PCI-E connectors, so i have to use an adapter for it to supply the needed power to the card. After i installed the gpu, got the drivers installed, and went to GTA V, the PSU started buzzing and after a while shut itself off and turned back on with a message 'Asus Anti-Surge was triggered due to instable power supply unit.' or something like that. After going on some web stores that offer computer parts, i found a Corsair VS550 PSU for 50 ish Euros, it has a 6-pin connector, but will it be enough to power my computer ?

Parts list:

Mobo: Asus H110M-K

CPU: Intel i3-6100

GPU: Asus STRiX RX470 OC

Hard drives dont really draw too much power, but Seagate 1Tb drive ( Dont remember the model )

Never use an adapter with a psu.

Technically, the Corsair VS550 would work, but it is not a very good psu as far as reliability goes. I would certainly get something better or you'll find yourself having to upgrade again sooner than later.

Surely there is a better option than a VS Corsair. I would not buy a VS. They are simply not very reliable.

Can you provide a link where you are going to be buying from or at least give your country? Maybe I can help you find something better.

forget the wattage, forget the names bronze gold platinum.

its about build quality and voltage stability.

get the xfx ts (gold) 550w/ corsair cx550m (bronze).
seasonic g series/ evga supernova gs/g2/g3 if you have got the money

@superninja12 yeah, but the problem is that i wont be getting it myself, my brother is going to buy it for me, and his budget for me is only 50ish Euros. Maybe i can ask him to buy something else for the 50 euros and try to get that PSU myself. Maybe a 120gb ssd or something, as an OS Drive.

I can get a CX750 for 96 Euros there if i do what i said above. I dont know, but that may be able to run 2 of these cards, cause i actually wanted to buy another one later on and crossfire them.
