Hi I was wondering if the Ryzen 5 1500x, RX480 4GB and some DDR4 2400MHz Ram (LIkely corsair or gskill) is a good combination for a budget build. I already have a pc and am going to upgrade it in the coming months. I was looking at i5 7600k but the price is a bit more steep in both cpu and motherboards. I am looking the build to play games such as battlefield 1 and other new releases at 1080p high settings. Thanks
(If need be if could stretch for a R5 1600 but would prefer to save some cash)

Solution
the 1600 is the real competitor to the 7600k, the 1500X competes against the 7500 performance wise. not to mention that the 1600 has a beefier cooler n overclocks pretty well. look for the rx580 4gb if u can. the rx480 should be on discounts now.

I think it's a good combination. A lot of people are lambasting Ryzen for it's 'poor' gaming performance, and while it may not match Intel right now, I can see games making the trend towards multi-threading where Ryzen performs very well.

I have an RX 480 4GB myself and am very pleased with it. I game at 2560x1440 60 fps and can keep the settings at high or medium depending on the game.

Thanks, I think this may be the route i go, apart from the rx 580. I bought the rx 480 at a really good price not long after release but my cpu needs an upgrade.
