Recently, I reformatted my PC as it was acting strange. It was going slow, would lock up from time to time. I had not reformatted for about 4-5 years, so figured it was time, and did a complete reformat. For about a week, it seemed to work ok, no problems at all.

Recently however, it has started freezing after being left idle for 10-15 minutes. Well, to be specific, It doesn't really freeze when left idle, but after being left idle, and then I try to do something, it will freeze within the first 10 - 15 seconds. To the point I have to do a hard restart.

I have disabled any power saver settings like USB, HDD, PC sleep or hibernation. Turned off displays timing out, and even tried to disable anything referencing sleep in the bios.

Every now and then, it will crash completely if left alone long enough, and try to reboot itself. It will get stuck on a screen saying it can not find a bootable device. I will shut it down and reboot it, and it will come back up and work just fine until left alone again.

For example, I can leave YouTube videos playing in the background for a couple hours while I walk away, and I have no problems at all. I then shut down YouTube give it 10-15 minutes, and I will be forced to reboot.

Any thoughts? This is a roughly 7+ year old PC, and I have recently updated the GPU, PSU, and CPU cooler over the course of 4-5 months. I am afraid my Mobo might be going out, but would like to get some other thoughts on it first.

Thanks!
