Hey, I've always built with intel and have no idea in AMD I'm fancying a new build as seen on previous post.

Is it worth building a AMD rig and will the benefits be good for CS:GO looking for 350fps.

Due to it being a high processor game and not being clued up on AMD I'd like some more info on this.

Thanks in advance.

This is like asking if you prefer steak to chicken. They're both good, it's personal choice. Yes, it's true, AMD's line of CPUs, as far back as memories serve, has been a hefty core-heavy system. However, the cores don't do much when the heat kills the CPU. AMD, in its past, has been a cheap and effective provider of stacked CPUs. However, things changed with the new Ryzen CPUs. Their core count is still impressive, but you actually GET some really level performance from the system for a fantastic price. Intel, on the other hand, does well all around, especially in their lower end. I don't know of many people who use a system for just CPU-based task that don't go with Intel. Their issue is the price rack-up as performance comes into play. AMD has become, once again, a very valid option. If you want some cheap, core-stacked, powerful CPUs, AMD's Ryzen is your pal. If you want guaranteed hyperthreaded performance for all ends that has been proven again and again, Intel. All your choice.
