Flashing bios TO OC my cpu

g.1 sniper b150 =(
8GB DDR4 2600 BALLISTIC
I5 6600K (i bet yall SEE my question show up) 33c at 95% load
gygabite gtx 1070 g1 OC (not water cooled
with a 850 watt gold PSU

i want to OC my CPU

i know i cant OC on this MOBO

my Question is.....WHY specifically cant i FLASH a ASUS z270 bios to this board

IS IT physically a hardware thing or a software thing Stopping me on my motherboard

There's a pretty detailed explanation, but I'll just keep it simple.
A UEFI/BIOS is designed for specific hardware pairings..... everything from the physical chipset, audio chips, PCIe configurations etc.

First & foremost, would be the chipset. Clearly a B150 board has the B150 chipset..... Z270 (or even Z170) are dramatically different circuits. Differing PCIe lanes, USB ports etc.

so theirs absolutely no way to flash a different Bios to OC on my board....... DARN

Looks like im going to buy another board lol...... YAY!!!

yeah i didn't realize this board wasn't a Z until it was til i put it together (i bought the board used)
