I was hoping anyone could help me out with this motherboard socket temp. My CPU temp never goes over 45*c under huge load and is around 15-25*c idle. But my motherboard cpu socket temp is around 35-40*c idle and can go up to 65*c when gaming for a sustained time. I know this motherboard can be considered cheap budget and doesnt have heatsink but was is the safest max temp that this board can reach. Thanks.

When you google the " TMPIN1", you will get the different answers. But from what you said: I know this motherboard can be considered cheap budget and doesnt have heatsink but was is the safest max temp that this board can reach.
I assumed your means the VRMs section temp. Usually its temp is hard to detect. If that section is overheat, the PC will reboot, frozen, or shutdown, something like that.

And in that case, you can 1) add the small fan: http://www.overclock.net/t/1465363/asrock-fm2-extreme-6-vrm-heatsink/20 2) buy the heatsink https://www.moddiy.com/products/Passive-Heatsink-MOSFET-Chipsink-9mm-%252d-Blue.html?gclid=COLhkbXvrtMCFZKLswodKLALTA 3) Don't use the tower cooler, use the top-down blowing design cooler, something like http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/5079/1e9j.jpg

Thanks for the feedback i'll look into some alternatives. But in the meantime as long as my socket doest go over 70*c on my board i should be fine right? Considering my CPU stays quite cool through-out.
