bios drivers / do i need to update them?

usually you would only update the BIOS if you are having any issues. I have that same board and i had some display issues and trouble getting into the BIOS when i tried to use my old dedicated GPU and they were only solved after updating the BIOS. you can update the BIOS by downloading the file to a USB drive and installing it by going into the BIOS. your motherboard manual will tell you how to update the BIOS

I think you mean the bios (basic input output system) its the heart of your motherboard, its not drivers, and judging by your experience, I would say if everything is working ok, then leave it alone, it is an easy procedure, but also easy to mess up if you dont do it right, and that will kill your motherboard.
