My second Phoenix GLH arrived today (before someone asks: because I want to build a cool machine once in my lifetime). As you may know, these are huge cards, taking 2,5 slots. Which is fine by my X99A Krait motherboard, they sit very well above each other with a decent gap between.
But my case does not want to cooperate. I have a Fractal Design Define r5 which only has one position for the PSU, at the far bottom end - right below the two cards. And the case floor seems to be elevated a little, so if the PSU is there, the bottom card cannot be inserted at all, lacking about 1cm space. The PSU is a fairly standard EVGA 850 P2 Supernova, which isn't taller than others if I remember correctly.
So the questions:
1. Has anyone managed to cram two Phoenixes into an r5?
2. Can someone recommend a dust-filtered case which can handle this setup?
3. Can someone recommend a... low-profile 850-ish PSU maybe? I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel here.
