Hi,

I am in the process of building a new PC, mine is very old. I am going to buy all the parts including mainboard, cpu, memory, etc, but I got the GPU first hoping to be able tu use it with my current setup while the other parts arrive.

My current setup is:

MBO: Intel DG31PR
PROC: Intel Core2Duo E7400 at 2.8Ghz
Memory: 2GB DDR2
PowerSupply: 500W
OS: Windows 7 fresh install

I alread bougth a EVGA Geforce GTX 1060 SSC 6GB, I also got 2 extra DDR2 GB RAM.

I first installed the GPU and the PC turned on perfectly, then I Installed the drivers and rebooted, thats where things started to get weird.

After restar, the computer would boot up but just after the Windows logo appear the monitor lost signal and the screen went blank.

After googling around for a bit I found some information that I should disable the integrated Intel graphics in order to make it work, I did that and the computer turned on perfectly with the new GPU.

The thing is that the computer is much slower that before. Everything runs slower, just opening task manager or a window takes more time than before.

I played Dota 2 and it runs at full graphics (as expected) but it takes longer to launch and the game does not run as smooth as it did with the 8400GS i had before.

Just to clarify, I did a Fresh windows installation for the new card so its not a drivers issue.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Greetings

Gabriel

It shows 75% of memory usage.. the thing is that before with the 8400GS it run very well i could play Dota 2 with no problems..

I dont know if the difference between the amount of RAM vs GPU memory has something to do with it?
