Hello, I recently bought a MSI GTX 1050 Gaming X & ran into a dumb problem. It has a 6-pin connector for power, and my PSU only has a 8 pin connection. I'm assuming the 8 pin female that hangs near the GPU area is meant for that, is there any kind of way to go from 8 to 6? I don't have time to buy a new PSU at this exact moment. So is there any kind of adapter? I saw there was an 8 to 8 (6+2), does anyone know if that stuff works. I just need a temporary fix. Thanks for any help.

Solution
Modern 8-pins can be divided to 6+2 pin, so better look at this 8-pin if it can be split to 6+2. Otherwise you can always use several converter cables that end to 6-pin
