Approximate Purchase Date: Now
Budget Range: Under 2000
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming while watching streams/streaming
Are you buying a monitor: Yes
Parts to Upgrade:GPU CPU PSU Motherboard
Do you need to buy OS: No
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg
Location: US, California, San Diego
Parts Preferences: GTX 1080 Ti, don't care if the rest is amd or intel
Overclocking: Yes / Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: No
Your Monitor Resolution: 1080p or 1440p 144 hz
Additional Comments: Games: PoE, Modded skyrim/fallout, Rift
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My computer is getting slow and can't max out new games, want to future proof. Feels like a good time to upgrade with the new 1080Ti and Ryzen CPUs being very efficient.
Some points that I would like advice about
1: Where will my bottleneck lie? Do I need the ryzen 1800x or is 1700x more than enough for my GPU
2: Watercooled CPU with air cooled GPU, I don't think I would feel comfortable water cooling my GPU, and since I have already bought one with better air cooling I think I will leave that one air. Is it possible to air cool GPU and water cool CPU? I've never done watercooling before.
3: Is 1440p worth the extra $120?
4: I think my choice of Motherboard is uneducated, I don't know what to look for in a good Mobo

Can maybe reuse parts but I plan on creating another system for my wife with the unused parts. So unless one of my old parts are just as good, i might as well buy new ones.
