Which graphics card is best with a triple monitor setup of 1080p and a cpu of i5 7500 :

Msi GTX 1060 6GB

ASUS Radeon RX480 STRIX O.C. 8GB Graphics Card

ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 DUAL O.C. 6GB

I play games such as Fernbus Simulator , City Car Driving , Flight Simulators etc..

gtx is a bit faster

no one should buy rx480 now, rx580 is faster at almost the same price

triple monitor is doable at reasonable resolutions for simple games, not that gpu demanding

if you use a more demanding game, tnone of those gpus will be enough

most of us just use one big wide monitor, to avoid setting 3 monitors and the space they requre with the power consumption

Triple monitor 1080p is 6.2M pixels. A single 1440p is 3.7M pixels while a single 4K is 8.3M pixels. So you'd be gaming somewhere in between a 1440p and a 4K resolution monitor.

The GTX 1080 or the 1080Ti would be the ideal card for your triple monitor 1080p setup in order to play at smooth framerates on High-Ultra settings. All those listed GPUs (GTX 1060 and RX 480) would struggle (unless you want to game at lower graphic settings).

Should i get the rx 580 oc+ 8gb do you think that can outperform the 3 gpu i have suggested or will it be the same because i was leaning more towards the msi gtx 1060 6gb but the rx 580 looks newer and better

I think you are biting off more than those GPUs can chew. Those GPUs are all good for 1440p gaming. just under 4K gaming? No. Are we to pick the lesser evil among those? Should you want something capable you should pick the 1070. It'll be a solid mid-range build with the 1060 or the 480 with the 7500. With your games in mind the 1060 would be better for a dual monitor setup. The 1070/7600/16GB RAM would be better for a triple play.

Single 1080p/~60Hz monitor gaming (i.e., 1920 x 1080 = 2.07M pixels) = GTX 1060 or RX 480 or RX 580
Single 1440p/~60Hz monitor gaming (i.e., 2560 x 1440 = 3.68M pixels) = GTX 1070 or GTX 1080
Single 2160p/~60Hz monitor gaming (i.e., 3840 x 2160 = 8.29M pixels) = GTX 1080Ti or Multi-Powerful GPUs

Triple 1080p/~60Hz monitor gaming is (1920 + 1920 + 1920) x (1080) = 5760 x 1080 = 6.22M pixels.
So, select the appropriate GPU from above.

So out of the three which one would you recommend

None of them for your needs.

The 1060 for a dual monitor. 1070 for a triple monitor. Invest some patience into this journey. Reap the benefits with a 1070.

i agree, 3 monitors for solid gaming at those resolutions, the 1070 is a safer choice

but is considerably more expensive, double the rx480 iirc

if you already have the 3 monitorm the 1070 should be your target, if money is a problem, the 1060 6 gbs or the 580 8 gbs

if you don't have the 3 monitors, i would buy a big curved widescreen one and get a 1060 ir the rx580

those approaches depend on your budget, the games and what you have now

i am a amd fanboy, so amd

but the 1060 is great too, but the 6gbs model, forget the 3 gbs model, that is slower so the rx580 is alot faster than the 3 gbs model

if you don't have the 3 monitors or the gpu, i would buy a big ultrawide monitor and the rx580

the ultrawide, lots of lg comes with freesync, that makes the experience even better for amd cards

if you go with nvidia, the gsync is more expensive but also is helpful

if you are on a budget, it is also viable that prices for rx480 drop thanks to the rx580, so you could find a good deal this week on a rx480 8 gbs

but also consider the idea of not going for 3 monitors, just 1 ultrawide

Right but do you not think that the 580 is better overall ?

from most reviews here on tomshardware and on youtube, the rx580 is faster than rx480, a bit fast for some things than the 1060, equal on some and slower on others but better than rx480 in general

your two choices should go to 10606gbs or rx 580 8 gbs

if you find a deal on a rx480 to justify the prchase, i would buy it that way, even knowing that the other two are abit faster, all depends on what you can buy, if online, locally and the budget

Right i think i will go with the rx 580 but will it be a good combo with the i5 7500 and will it run the triple monitors good. I really want the rx 580 as its only a £20 difference from the 1060 so its worth it

both brands are very good

i would pick the one that has more fans and less power requirements, less heat and less power consumption is good, also less noise

perhaps for the exact two msi and asus you see find a review talking about heat and noise, other than that i do prefer msi but asus is excellent too

the other worth to consider is a saphire nitro, take a look at it, perhaps you hate it or find it better and cheaper, sapphire is very good

Is the rx 580 sapphire nitro + 8gb the best? Its the same price as the msi? should i get that over all of them?

from the amd gpu vendors is one of the most popular and their gpus last long time, not to discredit msi or asus, but sapphire is really popular for amd gpus

all my amd gpus are sapphire

all my nvidia are evga or xfx

sometimes is just price and availability, buy the one that gives you the best confidence and price, if it is sapphire or msi, go for it, if it is asus, go for it

but base your decision supported also by a good review, i liked alot the sapphire rx580 review, will try to find the article i read, perhaps it was here or in anandtech, can't remember

in this situation i would seek for reviews of those specific 3 gpus, if you can't find a review talking about price, quality, features, noise, temperatures, do a search on youtube for a video review, decide based on that, if i tell you to buy the sapphire and you don't like it, you will regret following my recomendation, same for msi, or asus, even gigabyte

Do you think i should go for the rx 580 sapphire nitro over the 1060 6gb or the rx 480?
