You shouldn't get major difference between boards with same cpu, but with your board having only pcie 2.0 and not 3.0, you will be maxing it out. Every generation of pcie doubles bandwidth and while pcie 3.0 8x is enough for most graphic cards, it has same bandwidth as yours pcie 2.0 16x.
