Hello,
I am fairly new to making your own custom PC but have been researching quite a bit, and was wondering what I should do for my first build. I am looking for something smaller than my current PC (Dell XPS 9100), which would be along the sizes of an ITX or mATX cases.
I found cases in both sizes that I really liked, but can't decide on which one to go with.

ITX: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv iTX

mATX: Corsair Air 240

mATX 2 (Credit to Zerk2012 for the suggestion!): Fractal Design Define Mini C

Right now, the Phanteks case is cheaper ($66) than the Corsair ($100), and I really love the look of the Evolv series, but I'm unsure if I want to sacrifice future expansion by going with a ITX over a mATX. I am currently not planning on overclocking since I am just getting into PC gaming, but I am open to the idea if it means that I will be getting a better overall PC. I don't need a PC with SLI / double graphics cards, as I will never need that much power. I also have a few external hard drives + a few usb 3.0 hubs, so I am not sure if I even need to worry about expansion potentials of the motherboard.
Any advice on which one that I should do would be much appreciated!

Edit:
I have yet to purchase any components for this build, as I will decide on a what motherboard size depending on the case that I will buy. I am looking for suggestions on which one I should choose / or any different cases that I missed in my search that would fit my needs better than these.

Solution
I would not really consider a ITX because of the 2 memory slots.
These cases would also be in the same size area I would look hard at the SilverStone and FD.

Solution
well I guess what case supports the form factor of the motherboard used ??

if the case is a m itx only then a matx will not fit in it ?? but a matx case can be ''drilled to fit a itx and matx board or a mid tower can be drilled for a atx - matx and mitx

just look at any cases supported form factors compatibility

like that corsair you linked

Compatibility
Mini-ITX and MicroATX compatible. / Motherboard Support Mini-ITX, MicroATX

so a m-atx and a m-itx are coverd to be used in it

Thanks for the reply!
The Fractal design mini C does look like a great in-between, but I am from Canada, and it would cost a little bit more ($100), which is similar to the Corsair air 240 price.
I will add the Fractal to my list of mATX sized cases that I could choose from

Thanks for some ideas Junkeymonkey
I have seen these other mATX cases and they are not exactly what I am looking for right now. I was hoping to keep the overall case small, and the Thermaltake cubes are little bit larger than I was hoping for.
I do like how much customization they offer however, and a good price point in Canda ($75) compared to the others in the list. I'll keep it in mind!
