I have a:
MSI GTX 1050 ti GPU
a 550W PSU
intel i5-2500

I want to use MSI Afterburner to overclock my GPU. But... HOW?
Well, I am NOT a computer professor and I am scared of frying my PC or accidentally degrade or underclock my PC.

Much thanks to anyone who gives advices for my overclocking experience!

My personal answer when it comes to OC, is to research, then ask questions to clarify your knowledge, then do it whilst asking more questions.

If you 'just get told' then you don't know what the person advising you has missed out/skipped over, what they have assumed you know, what you should look out for that they simply forgot. By doing your own reading first you can have a much wider view and understand the limitations of the advice you are being offered.

There are stickies on OCing, have a look through them, and start there.

If you are scared, you probably should do it. The gains are minimal at best.

Lastly, '550w psu' tells us nothing. There are 350W psus much more suited for overclocking than a lot of 550w psus. You need a QUALITY power supply. Please post the make and model of the psu.

well, I am not that scared, just describing that I really want help...

And here is the PSU's info:
It is a Hunkey Jumper 600B with 80 Plus Bronze certify. Used the PSU for 5 straight years and 0 problems has occurred.

Extra info in case it is neeeded:
The PSU is powering:
Motherboard(The motherboard is also giving power to the GPU)
2 DVD drives
a 256GB SSD
a 1000GB HDD
2 LED PC case fans
Backlit keyboard and mouse combo
