Hi!

So I am going to explain the whole story from beginning to end.

My dad received my old PC. An Asus P8Z77-V PRO motherboard with an I7 3770k processor and with 8GB DDR3 SDRAM + a GTX 680 graphic card. I have never tried installed Windows 10 on this motherboard before, but when I had to do a new install anyway we decided to go with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

First the computer could not start with the GTX 680 in it. The 2x PCIe connectors was plugged in and green lights was showing that they had contact.The power supply is an Corsair 600 watt modular bronze certified : http://www.corsair.com/en-eu/cx-series-cx600m-modular-atx-power-supply-600-watt-80-plus-bronze-certified-modular-psu

We inserted his old GTX 660ti and the PC finally started. (note that my GTX 680 is working fine, we tested it in my PC shortly after). So I am afraid my dads power suppy is beginning to break down?

After the Windows 10 install, the wired NIC ethernet card stopped working. The LED lights was dead. I have tried the Windows 10 beta drivers for the card and many other drivers. Many reinstalls have been made. It shows up in the device manager with an exclamation mark no matter what. I have tried deactivating the automatic driver update in the device installation settings. We read that Windows 10 have had some problems with this motherboard, but that they could be fixed. I am not so sure about that.

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful."

His Windows 10 also have freezes where the start menu would not pop up. So I ran an SFC/SCANNOW in safe mode. I did it 3 times and I got the same message.

"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
supported in offline servicing scenarios."

I read the CBS.Log.

The wireless network card in the motherboard is working alright though and it has been a savior. We still want to get the NIC card to work. A solution would be to buy a new card, but I seriously wanna know what has happened to the built-in network card.

Did it get shorted somewhow because of the bad power supply? I say bad because it could not start up the GTX 680. I can ping the network card by typing 127.0.0.1. I can also see it in Lavalys Everest. Does that mean it still have a chance to get working again?

Summary: After Windows 10 install the built in network card does not work or light up. Reinstalling does not work. It has freezes where the start-menu would not pop up. Would so happy if someone could help me solve this.
