laptop is very slow

1. run virus scanner
2.disable programs you dont use in the start up section in task manager
3.clean the fan and heatsink in the laptop, altho this is a bit trickey and will probaly void your warrenty, it will mean that your CPU is being cooled better so thermal throtteling doesnt happen.
the options mentioned before are options you can do without needing to spend money, the next option is gonne cost some money.
4.swap the hdd with an ssd. i do not know if your laptop already has an ssd so you gonne need to check that
if you can tell me/us tell me your specs and the age of the laptop then that would be nice
