My new build includes
Corsair RAM memory CMK16GX4M2A2133C13 and Motherboard Gigabyte B250-HD3P.
It only works with one stick in slot no.1.
When i try to insert also the second stick in slot no.2, the system won't boot and 5 beep sounds are produced.
If i try to swap the memory sticks in slot no.1 alone the system works perfectly, so the sticks are both fully functional.
If needed, my CPU is a i5 7500.
Thanks.

Solution
start by calling them first (corsair) to confirm if these where designed as X99 only chips... (possible, as to why they would no idea)if you just bought it, return and ask for an exchange

PS part picker is only a guide one always should question parts chosen before buying.

You have to insert the RAM into the same color-coded slots. If there are four slots, for example, if you put a RAM stick into the first slot, you cannot put it into the slot right next to it, but the next slot over. So, slot '3'. They're often determined as A1, B1, A2 and B2. You would have to put the RAM in A1 and A2, or B1 and B2.

yes, your motherboard has two gray and two black ram slots, use the ones that say dimm 0 and 2 if numbered from 0 to 3, if numbered from 1 to 4 use 1 and 3, in yours seems to be 1 and 3, both gray slots

you say each module works perfectly alone or only tried one module from the kit?

according to gigabyte web site : http://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-B250-HD3P-rev-10#sp
very specific information on that page is : Support for DDR4 2400* / 2133 MHz memory modules,* To support 2400 MHz or XMP memory, you must install a 7th generation processor.

the memory page clearly indicates Intel X99 and 100 Series platforms compatible, your using a B2xxx series I believe this could be the problem

I already tried the two gray slots, which are named on the mobo as 1 and 3.
I'm currently writing with only one stick in slot 1.
Now i'll look at what paladin said, because it's kind of hard to understand at first glance.

he is talking about generations and supported chipsets, it is very rare to have a corsair module giving compatibility issues so i wouldn't try other thna set mainboard to formce ram to 2133 just in case

also try to use slots 2 and 4

i assume you already tried to work each module alone and both modules worked perfectly but alone, is that correct?

the OP mentions there CPU is an I5 7500 which is a 7th gen CPU

did you check to see if that ram is on the QVL list?

I tried the sticks alone and they work.
I tried to insert them in slot 2 and 4 (black ones) and it doesn't boot. I noticed now that the motherboard's "DRAM" red led turns on when the system doesn't boot.
However, i tried to insert the sticks in slot 1 and 3 (one gray and one black, near to each other) and it works. I wondered if the system was able to see them, so i opened an intel program i have (intel extreme tuning utility) which, in the memory paragraph, says:
total installed memory 16 GB.

Bank label: BANK 2
Device Locator: ChannelB-DIMM0
Default speed: 2133 MHz
Capacity: 8 GB
Manufacturer 029E

Bank label: BANK 3
Device Locator: ChannelB-DIMM1
Default speed: 2133 MHz
Capacity: 8 GB
Manufacturer 029E

i would post a screenshot, but i don't know how to upload it.

Is everything working now? If yes, should i move the second stick from slot 3 to slot 4, in order to create more space between the two? (but also moving it nearer the cpu?)

I can't find my memory sticks in the compatibility list...but it's very strange. Have a look at the list

so you have them as 2x8 single channel modules, slot 1,2 and 3,4 work in pairs. and usually require dual channel ram.
having then in 1 and 2, your only using single channels on each banks of ram, odd considering they are dual channel ram,
cannot say if motherboard has an issue itself or the ram is struggling with compatibility, will it be stable, this is unknown.

again corsair themselves identify these are compatible ONLY to the following systems (this could be a final list, but unknown until you call corsair.)

So it's my fault..Damn pcpartpicker which didn't found the problem!
Is there anything i can do to improve the situation without buying new stuff?
Do you advise to ask corsair for help?

Are you able to suggest me some other 16 GB memory to replace mine, which i'm going to return, after the chat i had with corsair assistance? It turned out that my memory shouldn't behave like this, so it's kind of defective.
I wasn't able to completely assess whether it was really the memory to cause the trouble, because i would need an another motherboard to do the experiment...but anyhow...let's hope that it's the memory's fault.

Excuse me. One final call for a suggestion.
I'm having big troubles finding a memory with: normal price (circa 120€),2133/2400 MHz, DDR4, Double channel 2x8 GB structure
AND
presence in the compatibility list.

For example:
I found this good alternative:
https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B018EGTEK8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A11IL2PNWYJU7H&psc=1
Corsair CMK16GX4M2A2400C16R Vengeance LPX RAM kit 16 GB, 2x8 GB, DDR4, 2400 MHz, CL16, Red
but in the compatibility list (http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-b250-hd3p.pdf) it does appear, but listed as a single channel 1x8 memory.
Have a look at the list and please tell me what you would buy, because here i'm all out of ideas..

it would be best to contact corsair with that model number to make sure that ram will work
