So I've recently built a new computer. But the computer only boots when it has 1 RAM installed on the second RAM slot on the motherboard. It doesn't matter which Ram I use, both works. It just seems it will only boot on the second ram slot. Btw, the motherboard only has 2 RAM slots. Every time I install Ram on the first slot, the computer will simply not boot up. It would turn on for 10 seconds, then closes for 3 seconds, then turns on again for 10 seconds then closes in a cycle.

Things I tried doing -
I updated my BIOS
I increased the voltage for the RAM
I tried using the first ram slot to boot
I cleaned the RAM slots and the RAM itself.
My CPU and motherboard do not have pins to install.

Any help please? Thank you so much!!!!

Ps I might just buy a 8gb ram instead. But if you guys know what the issue is, please let me know! Thanks!

Thanks for responding. But the thing is, it happened on my old motherboard, I refuse to believe it would happen 2 times in a row. You know any other solutions?

With the same memory sticks? That could mean those sticks have problem to work as a pair. If your mobo had 4 ram slots, you could easily check that by putting them in different channels - if they would work in different channels but not in same channel, then it's a ram fault. But since your mobo has only one channel ...
At this point, your best move would be to test both ram sticks at some other motherboard to see if they can work together. But if they can't, it is enough to consider them faulty and send them back.

Ok I found the solution. I found out my cpu had a bent side. I've managed to fix it by carefully bending it back to normal. Probably gotten lucky too.
