I bought a new GTX 1060 from gigabyte more specifically GV-N1060WF2OC-3GD, after installing the computer simply does not boot, getting stuck at the motherboard logo screen, doing one short beep every few seconds, I looked up for solutions online and did everything, checked for corrupt windows files, reset the bios by removing the cmos battery, reseated the rams and video card, used ddu to clean drivers before installing, the only sensible thing for me to do left is to update my bios, the motherboard is a bit old and the video card is relatively recent so it could sort some incompatibility issue, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to find and update my bios I am desperate for help

CPU-Z mainboard tab:
Manufacturer: Semp Toshiba informatica Ltda
Model: STI 012943 to be filled by O.E.M.

BIOS
Brand: American Megatrends Inc.
Version: F6b
Date: 08/27/2012

I don't know if that will fix it or help but I've hit a dead end here

Most likely it is BIOS incompatibility with your new card. If you have any chance to find newer BIOS, it would most likely be at this page: https://www.semptcl.com.br/ but it is in Portuguese I think, way too much for my skills. However, good chance are you will find nothing.

I speak portuguese, but like you said, found absolutely nothing. I'm starting to think I'll need to buy a new motherboard but I'm broke and just invested my money in the video card, is there anything like BIOS from another manufacturer wich would be compatible with my motherboard?
