i have a lenovo m57p sff and the pci/pcie slots are on the right side of the motherboard and the pci slot is the farthest to the right. so a two slot card wont work and its also a sff case and only a low profile card is supported. i have an evga gt730 passively cooled gpu installed now and i wonder if theres anything more powerful i could install thats a single slot and low profile and preferrably nvidia

the size of the heatsink isnt a problem, i could physically fit a two slot 1050ti if they all didnt have a dvi connector on the 2nd slot with some hacksaw modding lmao

Zotac and Evga both make a gtx1050ti single slot mini, which wouldn't require hackzall modification. If anything, I'd use a hole-saw for case modification and make an intake port to fit the gpu fan. Just use a screen.

I don't see any Zotac or Evga Gtx1050ti listed that's low-profile and single slotcover with no (or removable) DVI.

This low profile $78.99AR RX 460 can be fitted into those SFF cases with room for a 2-slot cooler but not the 2nd slotcover, something none of those 1050 cards can do because of the damned nonremovable DVI.

If you are willing to hack your case, I'd cut away part of the ethernet port housing to fit a low-profile 1050Ti.

You could just leave the cover off with a full-height card but then obviously wouldn't have anyplace to screw down the card.

Is it core 2 duo or core 2 quad? Either way the 750ti or rx 460 would be about right, the 1050ti would be wasted in that pc

Duh, there's a whole bunch of different model Lenovo m57p, I was looking at the wrong version. I'm assuming you have like a 9196, the SFF desktop, if you are looking at the back, your 2x slots are to the left. I take it the pcie is the outer slot. What's behind the innermost slot? Possibility of using a riser ribbon and not actually using the pcie slot to mount the card?

Well, with a riser ribbon, you could realistically mount the gpu to the underside of the lid., there's no real restrictions other than space and the length of the ribbon.

If the low profile single slot 1050ti is near the same price as the 750 ti then yeah the 1050ti is a no brainer.

Are they more expensive than a full size 1050 ti?

the case just really doesnt have that good of a design. its a business/school computer and isnt meant for high end gaming cards and other peripherals, so theres not much space and not much to work with in the way of making things work
