IS it likes every other GPU where you just unscrew, do I have do anything special other change the thermal paste on the die? I've never done this before thank you

Well you didn't say what GPU it is, but I doubt it has any thermal pads, so it's just a matter of unscrewing the 4 main screws, separating the cooler from the PCB, and replacing the paste. Be careful not to break the wire for the fans when you take the cooler off.
